PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sunroof unit capable of restricting running wind flowed into a vehicle compartment room at a roof opening part and further capable of positively reducing uncomfortable feeling felt by a passenger in the vehicle. SOLUTION: This sunroof unit comprises a first panel 12 arranged ahead of a vehicle roof 10 enabling its rear end 12a to move upward in an inclined manner, and a second panel 14 positioned behind the first panel 12 and slid toward the rear side of the roof 10 to enable a roof opening 30 to be formed. A length of at least the front end 12a of the first panel 12 in a vehicle width direction is elongated more as compared with a length of the roof opening 30 in the vehicle width direction.
