RECYCLED BUILDING MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glassy recycled building material which, though prepared by using a discarded vitreous waste requiring treatment cost, can be used satisfactorily as a surface finishing material excellent in designability. SOLUTION: The recycled building material is prepared by firing a raw material consisting only of waste glass crushed or pulverized and adjusted so as to contain 0-1 wt.% foreign matter or by firing a raw material prepared by mixing the above-described waste glass with an additive (e.g. a blowing agent or a colorant) or with a waste of a recycled building material.
