Electronic unit, especially a set-top box, video recorder or TV has a voice-recognition unit which records input spoken commands and transmits them to a networked unit in which a voice-recognition processing unit converts the speech input into command data and sends it back to the electronic unit. An independent claim is made for a control system for an electronic unit with a central networked speech recognition processing unit.
