<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that prevents a position shift from becoming worse even when an imaging process is repeated and precisely detects phase differences of rotating speed variation of image carriers. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus which detects the phase differences of the plurality of image carriers 5 and performs phase difference adjustment control based upon the output thereof performs the phase difference adjustment control again between imaging processes when the imaging processes that transfers the toner image on the image carrier 5 to the transfer material are successively performed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
