<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus and an energy-saving method, wherein both energy-saving and enhancement of user-friendliness are realized, by automatically setting a fixing target temperature of the apparatus in an energy-saving mode, suitable for a frequency of use of a user for each time zone. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is provided with: a means for controlling the number of printing operations done for a predetermined period of time; and a means for automatically setting the fixing target temperature in the energy-saving mode in the predetermined number of days. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
