PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the power consumption by effectively using a power saving function of a serial ATA bus defined by serial ATA standards.

SOLUTION: An electronic apparatus with a serial ATA interface is so configured that transition to a power saving mode of the serial ATA interface (serial ATA bus) is controlled (step S8) in response to the fact that the completion of execution of a preliminarily determined command is confirmed (step S4) in the case that issue or reception of the command has been detected (step S2).
