PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor drive means which can freely control an angle change and an optical scanning means which can freely control a scanning waveform inexpensively. SOLUTION: A method for driving a motor includes a step of comparing a converted value obtained by converting a response waveform of the motor into a frequency range, with a target value, a step of increasing a frequency range drive signal in a frequency in which the converted result is smaller than the target value, and a step of repeating the operation of lowering the frequency range drive signal in a frequency in which the converted result is contrarily larger than the target value.
