PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tile exfoliation preventing method which facilitates fixing work of tiles at exfoliating locations to a concrete skeleton, to thereby contribute to reduction in repairing cost. SOLUTION: The tile exfoliation preventing method carries out prevention of exfoliation of the tiles stuck to a surface of the concrete skeleton via mortar. According to the method, pin holes are bored in joints 3 at locations between four adjacent tiles 1, 1, 1, 1 through the mortar until the depth of each pin hole reaches the concrete skeleton. Then a retaining pin 7 is inserted into each pin hole such that a head 8 of the retaining pin 7 engages with surfaces of the adjacent tiles 1, 1, 1, 1, and further the retaining pin 7 is secured into the pin hole by a hardener. In this manner the four tiles are secured to the concrete skeleton by the single retaining pin 7, which contributes to drastic reduction in repairing cost. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
