PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roof and wall member superior in an appearance of a ceiling surface and a wall surface, and superior in the heat insulating effect and the sound insulating effect. SOLUTION: This roof and wall member is composed of a metallic plate member. This metallic plate member has a flat part, and a plurality of strips of ribs projected above the flat part, and continuously extending in the longitudinal direction of the flat part. The ribs have a superposing part continuing with the flat part, and a box-shaped part formed on the upper end of the superposing part. Thus, heat insulating performance can be improved as the roof and wall member by setting the height of the ribs and an interval of the ribs to a proper value. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
