A visible element comprises at least one visible side made of glass, which is decorated. The decoration is formed using a print color, and is applied by ink jet printing directly onto the non-coated side of the glass. The viscosity of the solvent coloring is chosen so the color does not run. The decorated side is covered using a glass element or a clear lacquer. The cover layer is water- tight and /or scratch resistant, and consists of a multi-component acrylic resin system.
