The floor (3), of an aircraft cargo hold, has support beams bonded to the fuselage and which also carry functional units e.g. water tanks (58), waste tanks, electronic units (56) and the like. The units are mounted on pallets (70), which are locked rigidly to the floor by fasteners (71). Connections (61) link the units to connection lines (26,27) through the floor structure.
