<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk device in which optimum recording speed is always selected and information can be recorded. <P>SOLUTION: A CPU 90 estimates surrounding temperature t°C of a semiconductor laser 79 emitting with the prescribed reproduction power from a reproduction laser current Irac (ST106). Further, the maximum recording speed V2 is calculated or decided by a look-up-table from this surrounding temperature t°C (ST107). The number of times of rotation of a spindle motor 63 rotating an optical disk and light emitting power of the semiconductor laser 79 are controlled so that information is recorded in the optical disk with speed of this maximum recording speed V2 or less (ST108-ST110). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
