<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cope with reception of a large volume of data without preparing a large capacity storage means being used exclusively for communication. <P>SOLUTION: Data incoming through a network in normal mode is stored temporarily in a buffer 34 being used exclusively for communication and then DMA transferred to a main memory 24 and processed. Data incoming through a network in power saving mode is stored in the buffer 34 being used exclusively for communication and image processing buffers 42A and 42B, and DMA transferred to the main memory 24 and processed when a transition is made from power saving mode to normal mode. A sufficient storage capacity is ensured by utilizing the image processing buffers 42A and 42B, provided for use other than communication, for storing data at the time of power saving mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
