<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signal regeneration device for regenerating a signal that carrying an item of information encoded by the phase modulation of the signal. <P>SOLUTION: An optical regeneration device 32 is provided for a signal carrying an item of information encoded by the phase modulation of the signal which is transmitted over an optical network 14 and comprising a temporal succession of optical pulses.
