PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a development apparatus which is capable of realizing both miniaturization of rotary development unit and larger volume for toner container at the same time, of surely preventing the toner container from being contaminated by scattered toner and has superior replacement operability for the toner container with respect to a rotary development unit constitution comprising at least one toner container that stores toner to be replenished to the developer, the developer to which the toner is supplied from the toner container and support parts for the container and developer. SOLUTION: A flexible sheet for covering the outer surface of the toner container is disposed on a rotary development unit to thereby prevent sticking of scattered toner to the toner container.
