The frame is covered with resin during the moulding operation except for those surfaces which face the outermost grid openings and are intended to be electrically connected to the active material filling. The grid extends on either side of the bars and is filled with active material. The grid may be made microporous by adding soluble additives thereto. The electrode may be completely enclosed in synthetic resin fabric separator. |
