PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular steering control device capable of suppressing complication of a device configuration, adequately assisting the steering of a driver, and detecting abnormality of a current detector to detect the energization current of a motor to drive a steering mechanism with excellent accuracy. SOLUTION: First abnormality detection process to detect whether or not the motor current IM input from a current detection circuit to a main CPU detects is in an abnormal state based on the difference between the target current ITN and the motor current IM is executed (Steps S01 to Step S06). If the abnormality is determined by the first abnormality detection, the duty of the pulse output to a bridge circuit from an FET drive/boosting circuit is regulated to be not more than the predetermined value (Step S07). Second abnormality detection process to detect whether or not the motor current IM is in an abnormal state is performed (Step S08 to Step S11), and if the abnormality is determined by the second abnormality detection, the assist operation by the motor is stopped.
