FUEL TEMPERATURE ESTIMATING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate fuel temperature at an inlet of a high pressure pump without providing a temperature sensor on the high pressure pump. SOLUTION: A map operation part 51 computes temperature data D6 in accordance with water temperature at the time of starting and map data representing relation between the water temperature at the time and fuel temperature at the inlet of the high pressure pump 3 in a response to starting cooling water temperature data D3 and a third detecting signal K3 showing the temperature of cooling water. The temperature data D6 are corrected by a second detection signal K2 representing temperature of suction air and a first detection signal K1 representing residual quantity of fuel in a fuel tank 5 in a correction computation part 52. Fuel temperature data D1 representing estimated temperature of fuel at the inlet of the high pressure pump 3 are thus outputted. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
