PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for spraying wood chip having low viscosity and excellent workability and to provide a method for forming a layer of wood chip using the composition. SOLUTION: The composition for spraying wood chip comprises a wood chip, a binder resin and a phosphoric acid ester-based plasticizer represented by the general formula (1): O=P(OR)<SB>3</SB>, wherein R is a 3-18C alkyl group and -R'OR'', wherein R' and R'' are each a 3-18C alkyl group.
