PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deodorizing apparatus free from condensing or emitting alcohols and aldehydes, and removing complex odor generated when nursing a bedridden person or relieving nature in a hospital and nursing home. SOLUTION: This deodorizing apparatus is provided with a deodorizer formed by carrying an adsorbent having chemical adsorbing action and adsorbent having physical adsorbing act to hydrogen sulfide; on a a honeycomb body; and a blower means blowing air to the deodorizer. The mixing ratio of the adsorbent having the chemical adsorbing action to the adsorbent having the physical adsorbing action is made within a range of 9:1-2:1. This constitution reduces the adsorption amount of alcohols and aldehydes to scarcely condense and emit them, and extremely reduce the amount of changing into another substance, thereby producing the deodorizing apparatus powerfully deodorizing the evacuation odor.
