PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conveying belt steamer preventing enlargement of a housing space for a device while maintaining throughput in a steaming process, and preventing uneven steaming. SOLUTION: This conveying belt steamer is provided with a conveying means conveying tea leaves from an input side through which raw tea leaves are charged in the steamer to an output side from which the steamed tea leaves are put out; and a steam spout-out means spouting out steam to the tea leaves during the course of being conveyed via the conveying means. The conveying belt steamer has the following structure: the conveying means comprises a plurality of stages comprising a first conveyor 2 arranged at the input side and a second conveyor 3 arranged at the output side so that the tea leaves fall from the dead end of the conveying surface of the first conveyor 2 to the leader of the conveying surface of the second conveyor 3 to convey the tea leaves to the output side from the input side; and the conveying speed of the first conveyor 2 is set to be faster than that of the second conveyor 3 so that the layer of the conveyed tea leaves becomes thin at the input side and thick at the output side.
