<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shank flange of a piano which is excellent in uniformity and dimensional stability and has also high rigidity; and is able to secure a smooth and stable operation of an operation therewith, and is further able to inhibit dust or the like from adhering to the shank flange and its periphery; and is able to favorably maintain the operation of the hammer and the peripheries of the shank flange. <P>SOLUTION: This invention relates to the shank flange 31 of a piano for supporting a hammer 30 turning when depressing a key 2, and the shank flange 31 is constituted of a molding of a thermoplastic resin containing long fibers for reinforcement formed by a long-fiber method.
