摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for cooling a steel plate, which prevents a shape defect of the steel plate by reducing the surface temperature difference between upper and lower faces of the steel plate. <P>SOLUTION: A cooling apparatus 10 has: thermometers 14, 15 disposed in the area where surface temperatures of the upper and lower faces of the high temperature steel plate 12 hot-rolled is in the range of transition boiling and further disposed at an upper and lower symmetrical position sandwiching the steel plate 12 for simultaneously measuring the surface temperature of the upper and lower faces of the steel plate 12; and nozzles 16 to 19 for supplying cooling water to the surfaces of the upper and lower faces of the thick steel sheet 12. The steel plate 12 is conveyed and cooled in the cooling apparatus 10. The surface temperatures of the upper and lower faces of the steel plate 12 in the range of the transition boiling are measured by the thermometers 14, 15, and the ratio of the quantity of the cooling water supplied to the upper and lower faces of the steel plate 12 present in at least the range of membrane boiling on the upstream of the thermometers is corrected based on the measured surface temperature difference of the upper and lower faces of the steel plate 12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p>
