<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for assigning images while suppressing increase of deviation in the arrangement of images. <P>SOLUTION: When an object image and a blank area not assigned with the object image are assigned to a plurality of single image assignment areas included in one page, the blank area is assigned to the single image assignment area in the order different from both the preferential order for assigning the object image and its reverse order and then the object image is assigned to the remaining single image assignment area.
