PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispense with an epoxy resin at a work for attaching a ferrule to a quartz optical fiber and to eliminate pouring work and heating work of the epoxy resin and hours of scraping polishing work of the resin on a ferrule end face after hardening. SOLUTION: At the time of injection molding of the ferrule, as shown in the figure, the quartz optical fiber is inserted in a metallic mold, further an top end thereof is inserted in a guide hole dug in an inner wall of the metallic mold to be fixed and then the ferrule and the quartz optical fiber are integrally molded to solve the above problem.
