PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide bearing component which has a long life against rolling fatigue, high anti-crack strength and suppressed long-term dimensional variation, and a heat treatment method therefor, heat treatment apparatus and a rolling bearing. SOLUTION: In the heat treatment method for the bearing component, heat treatment is applied to the steel for the bearing component at a temperature T1 exceeding A1 transformation point of the steel, then the steel is cooled to a temperature lower than the A1 transformation point and thereafter, the steel is reheated to quenching temperature zone not lower than A1 transformation point and lower than T1 of the above temperature for heat treatment so that the temperature rising rate at positions of 2 mm depth from the surface of the bearing part becomes≥3°C/min, and the quenching is performed.
