PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake system capable of precisely detecting leg-power and applicable both to a brake-by-wire and to a hydraulic brake. SOLUTION: The brake system has a leg-power sense generation mechanism 12 between a leg-power sensor 8 and a brake arm 24 . The leg-power sense generation mechanism 12 is turnably connected to the leg-power sensor 8 and the brake arm 24. Tensile force is added to the leg-power sense generation mechanism 12, and non-linear output is generated as the leg-power of a brake pedal 23. Thereby, the leg-power can be precisely detected, and the brake system applicable both to the brake-by wire and to the hydraulic brake can be provided. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
