PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moisture absorbent and deodorant for a shoe eliminating high humidity and malodor in the shoe, particularly at the toe part, to improve the conditions of the shoe and put to repeated use. SOLUTION: This moisture absorbent and deodorant for the shoe is formed of a flexible sheet base material 1 made of a material with excellent moisture absorbing property, deodorizing property, antibacterial property and photocatalyst. The sheet base material 1 is folded in a restorable manner to form a hollow roll 2a or a flat body 2b which is detachably mounted on the tip side in the shoe 5 with an adhesive tape 3 or the like. The sheet base material 1 used in the folded state is restored into a sheet shape, and the sheet is exposed to sunlight to recover its deodorizing ability by a photocatalyst effect and put to repeated use.
