The front flap is formed with inner and outer plates (1, 4) spaced from each other so that on collision with pedestrian the outer plate deforms sufficiently to dampen impact shock. In the interspace (5) between the plates is at least one component part (6,7,8) or assembly which can be compressed through the impact energy. The interspace between the inner and outer plates serves as an air guide. A drainage opening is provided in the inner plate at the lowest point of the interspace.
