Disclosed is a UV-irradiation device for treating fluids, comprising an improved device for cleaning the surfaces of the jacket tubes. The UV-irradiation device comprises a number of lamp units, each having a radiation source and a jacket tube (3) that surrounds the radiation source, the lamp units being essentially cylindrical and a cleaning device, which has cleaning elements (1) that encompass the jacket tubes in the form of a ring. At least one cleaning element is allocated to each jacket tube and the cleaning elements of at least one drive unit can be displaced in the longitudinal direction of the jacket tubes. The cleaning elements have an axially delimited annular chamber, which is open towards the surface of the jacket tubes. At least one ring consisting of a rubber-type elastic material lies in the chamber. The internal diameter of the ring in an unstressed condition is less than or equal to the external diameter of the jacket tube.
