A system for automatically detecting and displaying a disaster alarm is provided to supply information so as to deal with urgent disaster by forcibly turning on main power of a television with a broadcast signal and a data signal. A decoder(111) and a control part(112) detect an alarm broadcast start signal overlapped with a video signal under the state that standby power(108) is turned on. The video signal is received by wire or wireless via a television. The decoder and the control part may be built in the television or installed at the outside of the television. The decoder and the control part may receive start data of a digital disaster alarm broadcast in a digital broadcast system. When the decoder and the control part detect the start signal or the start data, the control part checks a turn-on state and a turn-off state of the television. This television is kept turned on if it is under the turn-on state and switched to the turn-on state if it is under the turn-off state. |
