A controlling method of a kimchi refrigerator is provided, thereby controlling a plurality of kimchi storage chambers simultaneously, reducing the consumed power, and minutely controlling the temperature of the kimchi storage chambers. The controlling method of a kimchi refrigerator having one compressor, a plurality of evaporators and a plurality of kimchi storage chambers with a plurality of solenoid valves comprises the steps of: deciding whether one storage chamber needs operation of the compressor; opening one solenoid valve in one kimchi storage chamber and operating the compressor when one kimchi storage chamber needs operation of the compressor; deciding whether another kimchi storage chamber needs operation termination of the compressor after operation of the compressor; and opening one solenoid valve in another kimchi storage chamber when another kimchi storage chamber needs no operation termination of the compressor.
