ADJUSTABLE STOP

The invention relates to an adjustable stop for a cutting element which is arranged in a tool base and adjusted therein. In addition to a hollow, slotted cylindrical stop body which can be expanded by an adjusting screw, the inventive device is provided with a sleeve which can be inserted into a longitudinal bore of said stop body. Said sleeve has an inner thread which engages with the adjusting screw, thereby enabling a higher load capacity of the threaded assembly. By enabling the sleeve to move in the direction of adjustment, flexional stress on the adjusting screw is reduced.
