The line feeder and guide (3) is applied on a cover (1), guiding the line which runs through guides to tighten the cover. The cover is for protection against rain, damp, wind, ultra-violet light and mechanical effects in different contexts, preferably for a furled sail, but even for other applications, such as a cover for a vehicle, tent, rucksack, etc. The line feeder and guide has at least one channel, which wholly or partly encloses the line (2), which channel runs parallel to the cover surface (4).
