A transformer for an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) backlight is provided to increase coupling force of components and make assembly and separation of the components easy by changing coupling structure of the components and to insulate primary and secondary bobbins from each other. A primary coil is wound around a primary bobbin(200). A secondary coil is wound around a secondary bobbin(100). A division partition(310) is put at the center of a trans cap(300) and the first and second seating grooves(300b,300a) are formed at the trans cap so that the first and second bobbins are dividedly seated in the trans cap. A pair of cores(400) with a certain shape pass through both side parts of the trans cap and are inserted into insertion holes(200a,100a), respectively. The insertion holes are formed in the primary and secondary bobbins, respectively.
