The device (1) is for tilting of containers opened from above, mostly octabins, where they contain, for instance, granulate, which needs to be fed to a production machine. It has a tipping device, with a base plate (3) and a cover plate (4) formed as a conical funnel adjustable at a distance from each other. The rotary axis of the tipping device passes through the center of gravity of the container to be emptied. The tipping device is positioned on a movable frame (7), provided with a catchment or storage trough (15).
