To provide a drinking water production apparatus for condensing moisture contained in air, collecting condensed water and purifying the collected water so that the purified water is used as drinking water. The apparatus for producing drinking water comprises: a case for forming an external shape of the drinking water production apparatus; a condensation means(4) installed in the case to produce a certain quantity of raw water by sucking in an external air and condensing moisture in the air; a water purification means(6) for purifying the raw water by receiving the raw water produced in the condensation means; and a drinking water supply part(8) for cooling or heating water purified through the water purification means so that users are capable of drinking or using the cooled or heated purified water, wherein the condensation means comprises a compressor(10), a condenser(12), an evaporator(14), an air filter(18), a fan(16), a water pan(20), a pipeline(22), a water storage tank(24), an expansion tube(25) and water level control sensors(26), wherein the water purification means comprises a plurality of filter members(28a-28d), a pipeline(30), a pump(32) and a sterilization lamp(34), and wherein the drinking water supply part comprises a cold water tank(36), water level control sensors(46), a hot water tank(38), a cooler(40), a heater, and discharge cocks(42,44).
