A method for providing a wireless Internet service in a vehicle is provided to allow high speed data communication by uploading and downloading data by using a satellite communication network as a transmission path to secure a data transmission rate of a maximum 60Mbps. When an MN(Mobile Node) enters a vehicle, an IP is allocated to the MN(S310). The MN transmits a wireless Internet access request signal to a network server(S311). The network server performs authentication on a corresponding subscriber(S312). When the network server recognizes that the MN is a subscriber(S313), the network server connects it to a satellite communication network through a satellite antenna(S314). The network server modulates a wireless Internet access request signal to a signal suitable for a satellite communication network protocol and uploads it to the satellite communication network(S315). A satellite earth station detects subscriber information and authenticates the user as to whether he/she has been registered as a subscriber(S316). When the user is authenticated(S317), the satellite earth station demodulates the wireless Internet access request signal into a signal suitable for an Internet protocol and transfers it to an Internet network(S318). The Internet network transfers the wireless Internet access request signal to a pertinent destination server, the destination server transfers a response signal to the satellite communication network, the satellite earth station transmits an Internet response signal to a satellite, and the satellite broadcasts the converted Internet response signal to the earth(S319). The vehicle receives the Internet response signal(S320). A satellite Internet receiver demodulates the modulated Internet response signal into a signal suitable for a wireless LAN protocol and transfers it to an AP(Access Point)(S321), and the AP broadcasts it to the vehicle(S322). An MN corresponding to identification information of an MN included in the broadcast Internet response signal receives the Internet response signal, thereby completing downloading from the satellite communication network(S323).
