A composition for inhibiting obesity is provided, which composition inhibits absorption of sugar, reduces abdominal fat, and reduces cholesterol and triglyceride levels in blood, so that the composition is useful in health food and medicines for inhibiting obesity. The composition for inhibiting obesity comprises 0.5 to 2 parts by weight of crude saponin of Panax ginseng C.A. Meyer, 3 to 5 parts by weight of Eucommia ulmoides OLIV., 1 to 3 parts by weight of Salicornia herbacea L., 1 to 3 parts by weight of Paeonia lactiflora PALL., 4 to 7 parts by weight of pine leaf, 2 to 4 parts by weight of Poria cocas WOLF and 2 to 4 parts by weight of green tea.
