Benzoindoline compounds, a process for preparation of the same compounds and pharmaceutical compositions containing the same compounds are provided, which compounds have the benzoindoline structure with double alpha2-AR and 5-HT2C antagonist character and are useful for treatment of depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, Parkinson's disease, cognitive disorders, disorders of the libido, sexual dysfunctions, sleep disorders and impulsive behaviour disorders. The benzoindoline compounds represented by formula (I), enantiomers or diastereoisomers thereof, and addition salts thereof with pharmaceutically acceptable acids or bases are provided, wherein R1 and R2 form a benzo ring optionally substituted with halogen or with alkyl, alkoxy, cyano, nitro, hydroxy, amino, alkylamino, dialkylamino or trifluoromethyl together, and R3 and R4 are hydrogen; or R1 and R4 are hydrogen, and R2 and R3 form a benzo ring optionally substituted with halogen or with alkyl, alkoxy, cyano, nitro, hydroxy, amino, alkylamino, dialkylamino or trifluoromethyl together; or R1 and R2 are hydrogen and R3 and R4 form a benzo ring optionally substituted with halogen or with alkyl, alkoxy, cyano, nitro, hydroxy, amino, alkylamino, dialkylamino or trifluoromethyl together; the term "alkyl" means a C1-C6 linear or branched hydrocarbon chain; and the term "alkoxy" means a C1-C6 linear or branched alkyl-oxy group.
