A trailer brake system is provided to operate a brake system and a brake lamp of a trailer itself without any additional line to connect with a vehicle, to absorb a shock from a sudden acceleration or deceleration by changing length of a housing according to the driving condition and by separating the housing and an oil pressure member installed in the housing with a certain distance. A trailer brake system comprises a housing(40) protruded forward on a main body(31) of a trailer(30) to have a hook(22) combined with a hitch ball(21) of a vehicle drawing the trailer and formed length-shrinkable to have a length-elastic bellows(41) on front surface of the main body and a spring(43) on the bellows; an oil pressure member(51) installed in the housing to have one end separated from a front surface of the housing in a certain distance and the other end fixed on a front surface of the main body and thereby generate oil pressure while shrinking the housing; and an oil pressure tube(42) elongated from the oil pressure member to transmit the oil pressure to a brake(33) installed at a wheel(32) of the trailer main body. The oil pressure member comprises a cylinder(52) storing oil to generate oil pressure and a piston(53) expanding or shrinking the cylinder. An oil pressure sensor(61) is installed on the oil pressure tube. A brake lamp(63) of the trailer brinks by a battery(62) attached on the main body, according to the measured value of the oil pressure sensor.
