A folder type mobile terminal having a rotatable LCD panel is provided to remove users' inconvenience in changing a function for making a call which does not use a main LCD panel while performing a multimedia function or returning to the multimedia function using the main LCD panel after finishing the call function. A lower folder(11) includes a plurality of input buttons(13). An upper folder(21) is coupled to be rotatably opened or closed over the lower folder(11). An LCD panel(33a) is disposed at an inner or outer surface of the upper folder(21) and rotatably coupled on the upper folder(21). A panel receiving part(25) is formed at the upper folder(21), in which the LCD panel(33a) is rotatably received. The LCD panel(33a) includes a frame(31) with a reduced width so as to be rotatably received inside the panel receiving part(25) and a swivel hinge(41) interposed between the frame(31) and the panel receiving part(25).
