The shelf (1) has two transversal sides (10, 11) and two longitudinal sides (12, 13) to cover the space of a trunk. Two pivoting lateral flaps are articulated around respective hinges (2). The hinges are located in a front lateral part of the shelf and are arranged obliquely so that they form an acute angle with a longitudinal axis (XX). The flaps are able to be raised with respect to the hinges to access the space.
