The tube has two channel assemblies (2, 3) arranged between two rectangular plates. A fluid inlet opening (6) and a fluid outlet opening (7) traverse the plates and channels of each assembly near an end for communicating with respective assemblies. A fluid return opening (8) traverses the plates and the channels near the opposite end. The fluid circulating in the assembly (2) traverses the assembly (3) via the opening (8). An independent claim is also included for a heat exchanger for exchanging heat between fluids circulating respectively in two sets of flat tubes.
