[Also in Division D1] A spinning or twisting member, e.g. a false twist tube 2, is supported in an air bearing having a "radial" gap b and an "axial" gap a and has the rotor 7 of a high frequency motor mounted on its outer wall while the stator 6 is fixedly mounted so that there is no contact between the moving parts of the motor. Means are provided to adjust the width of the bearing gaps. A fan 8 is provided on tube 2 to cool the motor and a gap m is provided above the motor to prevent heat passing to the bearing. |
