PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that when a silicon group-containing hydrocarbon-based compound is obtained by a hydrosilylation reaction between an unsaturated group-containing hydrocarbon compound and a hydrogen-silicon bond-containing silicon compound, the speed of advance of the hydrosilylation reaction is low, consequently prolongment of a reaction time and increase in the amount of a catalyst used, etc., are required and productivity is deteriorated. SOLUTION: In introducing a silicon group into an unsaturated group-containing hydrocarbon-based compound by a hydrosilylation reaction, the method for producing the silicon group-containing hydrocarbon-based compound comprises carrying out the hydrosilylation reaction in the presence of an oxygen-containing compound.
