PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video recorder capable of quickly searching a scene desired to view when a user views the same corner in the same video-recorded program. SOLUTION: When the scene desired to view is searched by fast forward, skip, and thumbnail display or the like (ST6) to start reproduction at the time of reproducing a program recorded on an HDD 13, the history of a position at the time of reproduction start after search is stored as a bookmark (ST8), a bookmark is selected from a list of stored bookmarks (ST11) at the time of searching for a subsequent view scene of the same program, and reproduction is started on the basis of the selected bookmark (ST12).
