摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image scanner capable of reducing the unevenness of a read image caused by the irregular feeding speed of a medium on which an image is carried by feeding the medium on a feeding control condition in accordance with the kind of the medium. SOLUTION: The image scanner is provided with: a holding part 15 for holding the medium; a read part for reading the recorded image; a feeding means 45 for feeding the holding part or the image read part on a line; a feeding control part 44 for driving and controlling the feeding means 45; an identification data read part 40 for acquiring identification data for discriminating the kind of the medium held by the holding part 15; and a control part 38 for controlling the control part 44 so as to change the driving condition of the feeding means 45 in accordance with the acquired identification data.
