OPTICAL IP NETWORK SYSTEM, ITS PATH ESTABLISHING METHOD, ORIGINATOR NODE UNIT, RELAY NODE UNIT, AND TERMINATOR NODE UNIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical IP network system and its path establishing method which establishes a path between an originator node unit and a terminator node unit according to path request information with explicitly designated/not designated labels mixed.

SOLUTION: A relay node unit 100 comprises a label value checking means 130, a label value copying means 140, and a parameter correcting means 150. This allows either explicit designation or inexplicit designation of the label value to be freely set in path request information. It further comprises a means for allowing the End-to-end label designation and the hop-to-hop label designation to be mixed. Thus, an originator node unit 200 can set a path efficiently utilizing network topology information even in a large-scale optical IP network composed of various transmitters.
