PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling fuel injection in which an injection timing to supply a fuel in one injection per two revolutions to a single cylinder four cycle engine of ignition system at a fixed advance angle is determined by a simple system. SOLUTION: It is made certain that a suction pipe pressure drop status exist at one ignition signal period A1-B2, and a suction pipe pressure drop status does not exist at the next ignition signal period B2-A2, for ignition signals A1, B1, A2, B2..., issued for each one revolution of an engine. It is judged that B1 is at the end of exhaust stroke, A2 is at the end of a compression stroke, when the two conditions hold. An injection timing is determined in such a manner that the injection of a fuel to be fired by the ignition at A2 based on the judgement is done one time during two revolutions.
